St Francis
Five day project to create a sculpture that represents
the story of St Francis of Assissi pacifying the wolf.
The body was made from steel and the hands,
feet and head are cast in plaster.
The steel was left untreated, allowing it to form a layer of rust giving the impression of the colour of the cloak that St Francis wore.
The children of the school are encouraged to throw bird feed
over the sculpture to encourage birds to feed off him.
